The main principles of dietary nutrition in pancreatitis

  • it is necessary to increase the amount of protein up to 150 g at the expense of meat, fish dishes and cottage cheese.
  • Limit carbohydrates to 300-350g, particularly easy to digest (sugar, honey);
  • Exclude products that contribute to the increased secretion of pancreatic juice (rich broths of meat and fish, boiled cabbage);
  • reduce the amount of fat in food to 70-80 g;
  • Cooking of food only in a mechanically gently wiped form;
  • do not allow large single food intake;
  • keep part meals every three hours;
  • fasting should not exceed two days.

What is forbidden in the diet for pancreatitis?

  • rich broths from meat, fish, mushrooms are strictly forbidden;
  • fried meat and fish;
  • Lard and other animal fats;
  • Sausages and canned meat;
  • raw, unpurified vegetables with fiber;
  • Baking dough;
  • Rye bread;
  • Kefir;
  • alcoholic and carbonated drinks.

  • fresh milk, cottage cheese in its natural form is not sour or steamed pudding;
  • add butter or olive oil to dishes;
  • boiled and mashed vegetables (mashed potatoes);
  • Pasta and noodles;
  • semi-liquid porridge in water with the addition of milk;
  • from fruits - baked or stewed apples;
  • sweet foods - jelly, jelly with sweetener;
  • from drinks weak tea, rosehip broth.

Approximate menu of the day

Consumption for the whole day: stale white bread - 200 g, sugar - 30 g.

  • The first breakfast consists of steamed meat chops (can be replaced with a steam-free protein-free omelette made from two eggs or cottage cheese pudding), oatmeal porridge with milk (half a portion), a glass of tea with milk.
  • Second breakfast - boiled or baked meat, unleavened cottage cheese, a glass of tea with milk.
  • Lunch: Vegetarian potato soup (half portion), steamed meatballs, carrot puree, xylitol apple jelly.
  • Dinner: meatloaf or steamed meatballs, can be replaced with a piece of boiled chicken, steamed pudding from low-fat cottage cheese, a glass of tea with milk.
  • Before going to bed: fruit jelly with xylitol.

The weight of each dish is 130-150 g. Milk tea can be replaced by a decoction of rose hip.

With a significant improvement in the condition and with the permission of the doctor, the diet is expanded to include ungrated vegetables and meat in one piece.

Patients with chronic pancreatitis must remain on a diet for life.
